The Goal: Design a travel portal that would support easy access to information on more than 6,000 worldwide destinations.
The Solution: A SQL database to house individual articles and a proprietary Content Management System (CMS) to enable the distribution of content to a variety of audiences, all based on a taxonomy developed by Nested Strategies. The site currently features more than 300,000 items, each vetted, indexed and detailed by Nested Strategies. Pages feature a wide variety of state-of-the-art and social networking features, including: a proprietary system for fetching, storing and displaying previews of all links, a voting and user comment system, user-constructed collections of pages that can be shared with anyone, support for affiliate marketing programs, private and public pages, and bespoke content syndication.
